At Downtown Studioz, we strive to offer the best car, bike, and scooty rental experience to our customers. However, we understand that sometimes plans change, and you may need to cancel or modify your reservation. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which you may receive a refund for our rental services. Please read this policy carefully before making a booking.
1. Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds will be issued based on the following conditions:
1.1 Cancellations Made More Than 24 Hours in Advance
- If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours before the scheduled rental period, you will be eligible for a full refund, excluding any processing fees or booking charges.
1.2 Cancellations Made Within 24 Hours of Rental Period
- If you cancel your booking within 24 hours of the scheduled rental period, a cancellation fee will be applied, and the remaining balance will be refunded to you.
1.3 No-Show
- If you fail to pick up the vehicle at the scheduled time without prior cancellation or communication, no refund will be issued, and the entire rental amount will be forfeited.
2. Early Returns
- If you return the vehicle before the end of the rental period, no refund will be issued for the unused time unless otherwise agreed upon by Downtown Studioz under special circumstances. The rental is considered complete once the vehicle is returned.
3. Refund for Deposit
- A security deposit is collected at the time of vehicle pickup, which is fully refundable upon returning the vehicle in the same condition as it was rented, subject to an inspection.
- Deductions may be made from the security deposit in the following cases:
- Damage to the vehicle (beyond normal wear and tear)
- Fuel shortages
- Traffic fines or penalties incurred during the rental period
- Any breach of the terms and conditions of the rental agreement
- If any deductions are necessary, a breakdown of the charges will be provided, and the remaining balance of the deposit will be refunded.
4. Refund Process
- All eligible refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of the cancellation or vehicle return.
- Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, unless otherwise requested by the customer and approved by Downtown Studioz.
- Customers will receive a confirmation email or notification once the refund has been processed.
5. Non-Refundable Services
The following fees are non-refundable:
- Processing fees or booking charges
- Any additional services or add-ons that have already been used or activated, such as GPS devices, helmets, or insurance.
6. Modification of Booking
- Modifications to your rental reservation (such as changing the dates, vehicle type, or rental period) must be requested in advance and are subject to availability.
- If the modification results in a higher rental fee, the difference must be paid at the time of modification. If the modification results in a lower rental fee, no refunds will be issued for the difference unless the modification is made more than 24 hours before the rental period.
7. Exceptional Circumstances
- In case of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, government-imposed travel restrictions, or emergencies that affect your ability to rent a vehicle, please contact us as soon as possible. Refunds in such cases will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
